It was an honour to welcome Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Ambassadors Christine Pitt and Chinh Cong Huynh to our club on 27th of March. Last week Christine and Chinh were our guest speakers and they shared with us the symptoms and challenges as a result of this terrible disease. I would like to thank Chinh for sharing his story and the problems he faces as a Multiple Sclerosis patient. He migrated from Vietnam nearly 40 years back and within a few years after his migration to Australia he was a victim of this terrible disease. With his will power and faith in God he has overcome this disease and is now is working as a Multiple Sclerosis awareness campaigner. On behalf of our club I wish him and his team all the best.
Our Bulletin editor, Diane McGrath, had an operation on Monday to repair her broken leg. I had a chat with Peter on Tuesday evening and was happy to know that Diane was doing well. She has to stay a few more days in the hospital and will send this week’s bulletin from her hospital bed. I wish her a speedy recovery and want to thank her for editing the bulletin during such difficult time.
Please note our outgoing GSE Team to D1860 in Germany will be visiting our club this week and will give a short presentation. The team includes our own sponsor Isabella Argyropoulos from Western Health and I am looking forward to hearing from the team. The team did a wonderful presentation at our district conference in the Gold Coast. May I request you all to make an effort to join me to give a very warm wel- come to the outgoing GSE team to our club.
Also note that we will have the Community Award Night on 1st of May and I invite you, your partners and friends in advance to join me on that special night.
Please enjoy your week, stay connected and let's together reshape our society, our world better.
